Final Notes
  • Best English Dub: Soul Media Blu-ray
  • Notes:  The Kino Lorber release has a strong yellow tint which differs from the original 20th century fox DVD releases. This was likely done in order to desaturate  one of the final flashback scenes of the movie. Although this does give more punch in that scene, it creates a very strong yellow tint through the rest of the movie. I personally preferred the more natural skin tones the Soul Media Blu-ray had which were more similar to the older DVD releases. The transfers appear to be identical other than these color choices.

The final minute is also missing maciste riding off in the desert. There are also other numerous cuts throughout less than a second in length likely caused by bad film that was edited out.
  • Notes: In general most of the cuts shorten basic establishing shots, however all gore is still included in the action sequences. Audio looks to have a higher treble than normal, also bass in the music is nonexistent.
